This incident, touched my heart. And i thought i would share it with all of u guys
Today, being friendship day,i went over to one of my very close friend's house.I know each and every member of her family very well.My friend hugged me wishing me a happy friendship day...but then...i was shocked to see tears in her eyes...
I obviously asked her what the matter was...she told me that her grandmother was in her last stage of cancer...
These words hit me so hard,it sucked the air out of me...i could not believe it because her grandmother was hail and hearty the last time i saw her...it was just something so unbelievable!
My friend told me that the she was still on treatment, but it was most likely that she will not survive.
I was just standing there with a blank expression on my face...as the words had not quite sunk in...
The question-why this news affected me as much as it affected my friend...i'm sure you are thinking this
The reason being,i've practically grown up with this friend of mine...reminiscing the times i spent with her grandmother...everytime i went to my friend's house for a sleep over, she would read us a story, tell us jokes...it was so much fun
She was one of the most active people i knew!! But now...seeing her lying on a bed...all pale and frail...was just too much...i did not want to cry because i knew that if i started crying,my friend would also start...i had to hold myself together.
Sometimes luck or destiny play their cards in the most unusual ways...watching your loved one just fade away...
Today, was one day i will never forget.

Adios
Michelle.

Sorry to hear that. May God give your friend and her family all the strength to cope with this grief.

I agree with Anna...the only way to console one's mind at a time like this is to remind ourselves that we all have to go one day...while I know it's really hard to see someone u know well suffer n fade away this way, it's imp u make ur friend realise too that nothing is permanent n that it's good for her granma to rest in peace than suffer at the ends of tubes n machines in the hospital...

May God bless this granma!

Your this post reminded me of a similar incident when my Dad's cousin went thru a similar phase, however she was just 37.

Im not sure whether miracle can happen for ur friends gramma, but I'll surely pray that things go fine for you and ur's friends family.

Am sorry michy
Thats sad but one thing
Death is inevitable
The nature has its balance What comes! has to go
WE loose things we gain them
We loose people we find them that is a hard fact Death is a Obvious monster whose clutches do get on ur neck and choke you Out
We live with it, Still we brood cuz we love the neardear ones But someday michy someone or maybe you will BRood For Me :(((
Still I do pray for her
May god bless
