There is more than meets the eye
When Hilary Duff started going out with the lead singer of Good Charlotte,the popular band(with great music by the way),eyebrows raised.Why?For the simple reason that you would expect a girl like Hilary Duff(perfect blond hair,cherubic features)to be seen romanicing with Joel Madden(tattoos,piercings-he pretty much dresses a lot like Billie Joe-lead singer of Green Day).
But you know,just because he dresses that way or talks that way,doesn't make him a bad person.Just because he is the lead singer of a punk rock band,doesn't make him inferior to Hilary.I completely agree with what Hilary said to their defense.She said that just because he has tattoos does not make him bad,and just because she keeps smiling all the time does not make her perfect.
Yeah people say opposites attract.The funny thing here is,Hilary seems to be the more 'wild' one and Joel seems to be the more 'sober' one.
People potray him as this crazy guy.When he went to an ATM,a lady actually backed away from him!So basically when they were interviewed they set the record straight and proved that he isn't a bad influence on Hilary.He even hangs out with her mom when she isn't around.
Yeah there is the age factor.Hilary just turned 18...and Joel is like 8 years older.But they don't care,why should we care?
Hilary referred to him as the most respectful boyfriend she has ever had.Surprised huh?
So basically,whatever people say,there is more to a person than just his looks or the way he dresses.He maybe a rockstar on tv,but he also maybe a gentleman by heart.And who said anything about rockstars not being gentlemen? ;-)

Ya, I think the media bothers too much into the personal lives of celebs. As for Joel Madden, I like his band... good music they maketh! :O And their new album might drop this year.
And for Hillary, well... she seems a bit fake but hot nevertheless!
@ vaibhav - yep they're constantly houndin celebs...i really pity em but in a way we shud b thankful to the media cuz well we wudnt get ne news bout our fav celeb if it werent fo' them.n i like hilary lol shez better than lindsay!

The media destroys everything lol...I agree with you..just because a person is a rockstar doesn't mean he aint no gentleman..I dont know much about rockstars but some of them are great humans..like Bono..Mich ur blog is looking awesome..!!

It's all about paradigms and pre-judging is all...we need to loose all that. Everyone is stuck up on that crap. Need to get to know people and say ur peice of mind if need be there after otherwise...no use wasting ur breathe...ur even worse for it if u do so...

so true! it`s all just a case on how society perceives a person by his dressing and career choice. huhm...sad to say, at times i do fall into the wagon of judging people on their choice of dressing and mannerism. i am trying to change my outlook, but so far have failed miserably.
Mich I titally agree with ya! besides I think rockstars have a the real thing compared to many normal ppl...they 'feel' and r more sensitive than most ppl..they may look wild but they 'feel' better...

hi michelle, there are ppl that seems nice on tv. but in real life, they're jerkasses....
i remembered there was this singer that had a bad reputation because of his music. turned out he's a really sweet guy. well, he's a chinese singer, his name is alex to. he does have some great ballads.
