In India, the Supreme Court of India -- the seat of the highest authority of the law of the land -- has described PDA to be in bad taste and an unacceptable act, which may be considered an act of public nuisance, and sometimes leading to conviction and/or fine from the involved parties. Despite this, the Indian film industries, Bollywood and South Indian Movie Industry, use PDAs as a sure shot means of promoting the films amidst the masses. PDA is however now getting more acceptance in India...thats what it says here
Yeah right...The latter part is bull because people in India are still as narrow minded as ever!I agree,watching somebody stick their tongue down another person's throat isn't exactly fascinating...but i think its being made too much of an issue in India.I, myself have a phobia when it comes to PDA...i simply hate anything more than a hug when in public...but you know i really do think its high time people stopped being such narrow minded arses.I don't think there is anything wrong in displaying your affection in ways that do not seem vulgar...even holding hands in public is looked down upon!Why the mental block...I agree intimatcy should be kept between two people but is it honestly that big a deal?I really hate those gossip loving aunties that will give you that dirty look even if you sit behind a guy on a bike...I honestly feel like telling them to go suck butt.
Just because you're not getting any action, why should everyone else have to behave like nuns in your presence? It's a way of feeling loved, adored, protected, and a partner who isn't afraid to express his/her feelings is guaranteed to make a greater impact than one who won't go near you for fear of 'what others might think'.
I have this strange phobia when it comes to pda...its quite weird because its not like i hate pda or that i care about what others think...its a different kind of fear altogether...

i don't find nuttin wrong with it .... as long as it isnt vulgar as u said ... people need somethin to talk abt n need to make fuss abt stuff ... i was infact thinkin of writin abt it sometime bck .. but then my mum had started readin my blog ... lol .. n she's not very happy seeing ppl kissin n fondling each other on the streets .. which is quite a normal site here in london ...infact when i was in mumbai in august .... young couples makin out in cafes, etc was quite common too n lol u shud hv seen those road side cheapos n autorickshaw waalahs ... oggling at em couples!!! LOL
btw .. u know wht .. a few days back .. we were watchin star news and there this HUGE fuss being made abt hrithik n ash's on-screen kiss (Dhoom 2) ... n they were referrin to it as obscene .. etc ... my mom immediately reacted n told me ... "Olly .. make sure the next time u're in India .. ure not kissin guys in public ... coz we won;t come to bail u out from the jail" !! LOLLL
I believe it can be alrite if there's a limit to it. I dun like those couples making out in public but a kiss and a hug is ok. Dun u think Michi?

now a days with ppl walking around with camera phones, you never know where your lil make session might take you to!!!

well frankly speaking if you meet your gal in public like 90% of the time u cant well not touch her at all!!?? Im not saying u shud be all over each other but just holding her hands or having your arm around her shoulder or her waist is ok cuz if u cant touch heer at all its like ur in an L.D.R even tho ur wid her all the time!! and hmmm sooo coming bak to you what kind of phobia is it?? what exactly do you fear?? is it like a fear of getting caught??

Personally, I always felt it depended on the two people involved . As long as they're comfortable in each others presence, the rest ought to just dissolve into the background.sure, sex on the bed in a furniture shop maybe pushing it a bit too far, but then again, as you said, if theres one thing that remains steady in India, its our moral brigade...who incidentally, would probably be sharpenening their swords at ye, lassie..i mean, "SUCK BUTTS ???" ..thats an original one!! lol. was in pune recently for an exam...ai yai yai..if id seen his blog before i left, i would've tried the "Suck butt, beeyaaach" line.

India is yet to open its arms to this kinda "western culture". But I believe that there should be a limit in everything we do. Holding hands, a puppy hug is okay, but beyond that.... naaah.
